Over a year ago (9/2008) I fell very badly on concrete, with my left leg bent underneath me. I take Klonopin to help with severe insomnia brought on by PTSD. I have taken it for days or for weeks in a row and then gone off of it for days or weeks. It seems to not have any withdrawal effects on me but it does effectivley help with the insomnia and occasional anxiey when I do take it. You sort of also have to know your body's reactions to chemicals and, also prepare your mind to accept the maximum positive effects of any medication entering your system.

I had just started to try antidepressants. I was first described the generic brand of Wellbutrin XL by Tevic. I had less pain almost immediately after starting on the low dose. I started Lutera in March 09 and I have had the worst most severe mood swings ever, no period still from coming off depo, breast tenderness, nausea, constant diarrhea, headaches, mild acne, weight gain. I starting to wonder if it's even worth continuing on this bc pill!

I'm sorry that your son is having this issue, and I do think you're right to be concerned. I have asthma and it runs on both sides of the family, so we weren't surprised when our daughter developed it at 2. She was pretty bad--she was on oral steroids etc and had regular breathing treatments. The pediatrician actually ENCOURAGED me to try alternative meds as he said this stuff isn't really tested in kids and we have no clue about the long term.
