Warnings
The generic names of this medication are ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine. Brand names are Advil Cold and Sinus, Advil Cold and Sinus Liqui-Gel, Dayquil Pressure and Pain Caplet, Dristan Sinus, Motrin Childrens Cold, Motrin Cold and Flu, Motrin IB Sinus, Motrin Sinus Headache, Dimetapp Sinus, Sine-Aid IB, Dimetapp Childrens Cold & Fever, Children's Ibuprofen Cold Relief.
The active ingredients of this medication are ibuprofen (200 mg), pseudoephedrine HCl (30 mg).
Advil Cold and Sinus is ,anufactured by Wyeth Ayerst Pharmaceuticals.
Mainly used to treat stuffy nose, sinus congestion, cough and pain or fever caused by the common cold or flu.
Common Uses:
This medication is used to treat stuffy nose, sinus congestion, cough and pain or fever caused by common cold or flu.
Off Label Uses:
None noted currently.
Side Effects:
Chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, slurred speech, problems with vision or balance.
Black, bloody, or tarry stools, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.
Fast, pounding or uneven heartbeat.
Severe dizziness, anxiety, restlessness or nervousness.
Easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness, fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms.
Increased blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision, trouble concentrating, chest pain, seizure).
Urinating less than usual or not at all;
Skin rash, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness.
Cautions / Warnings:
Not recommended for the following conditions:
In patients who have used an MAO inhibitor such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), rasagiline (Azilect).
In the presence of symptoms of heart or circulatory problems such as chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, slurred speech.
In patients with symptoms of bleeding in stomach or intestines.
For those with allergic reactions to this medication.
During pregnancy or pre-pregnancy.
Drug Interactions:
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Steroids (prednisone and others)
Diuretics (water pills) or high blood pressure medications
Beta-blockers such as atenolol (Tenormin), carteolol (Cartrol), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol), propranolol (Inderal), sotalol (Betapace), timolol (Blocadren) and others.
Antidepressants such as amitriptyline (Elavil), clomipramine (Anafranil), imipramine (Janimine, Tofranil) and others.
Aspirin or other NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).

It helps a lot relieving my sinus congestion and even is helping with the sore throat plus fever. HOWEVER, I am having heaviness in my chest and lungs after every time I take it and it makes me sleepy.
