I switched from Diovan to Micardis five years ago and started having "eye disturbances" (I know now they are optical migraines) so my doctor changed my dosage to 40mg in the morning and 40 mg in the evening and this worked great for several years but in the past year I have had more of the disturbances usually when I break the pill and it's not equal but I have also noticed my vision (previously 20/20) getting worse and worse. My doctor, after drawing and evaluating my blood, suggested that I take an iron supplement. The supplement was an over the counter one, having 150% of the daily value of iron needed in a healthy diet. Since I hardly need meat, she suggested that I buy something with a percentage that high.
