It's not until I complete this survey that I realise what an adverse affect carbimazole has had one me. It did lower my thyroid levels (and that seems to be all my doctor is interested in) but I feel worse for it. I also wonder whether other medication interracts with it. I also take lithium (which caused by hyperthyroidism) and although my doctor has said this wouldn't be a problem, I wonder if it is an issue. Final comment. I now have a really sore lower back. I had pneumonia in July and about a week after I got better from that, my legs began to ache and swell. They've hurt and stayed swollen all this time. I've been seeing 3 doctors and none have been able to tell me why. I heard about this Levaquin thing today and called my doctor to see if that was one of the meds they'd given me as it sounded familiar. Sure enough. They prescribed Levaquin for me July 21, 2009. Nexium has been the only medicine to help with my GERDS. My reflux was so bad it acid bubbled into my nose and I could not breathe; regardless of when I ate! There is nothing worse than being unable to not breathe! I would have to tell myself to be calm and let the acid bubbles subside to catch a breathe. The acidic cough is the worst! Nexium is the best! Every time I went home to visit my family, I would always wind up "sick" two days into my visit. I found out/realized that I was/am allergic to dogs (and we have three) but once I started taking Quercetin my allergy symptoms cleared up within a day (crazy, I know)!!
