I was 17 weeks pregnant when I had a shingles outbreak. This was my second instance of a shingles outbreak, but first time using Valtrex. i am a 47 year old female and was prescribed 30mg carbimazole twice daily for hyperthyroidism. after 2 months, i came out in an itchy welt like rash all over my torso and neck. the dr took me off this medication immediately and put me on propylthiourocil (try pronouncing it) have been on this for a month now and no side effects so far.

Started taking when after coming back from a trip had a severe pain in my arm doctor stated it was arthitiis to take antiinflamatories a friend recommended the glocosamine and I started taking it the pain disappeares and has never come back.

To everyone on NSAIDs...please be careful! My brother was prescribed naproxin (which is just prescription strength Aleve) for shoulder pain. The Dr kept refilling the prescription for 9 months which resulted in kidney damage. Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs like Advil, Motrin, Aleve can be dangerous if taken improperly or long term. They aren't "safe" just because you can buy them without a prescription.
