I have been in this treatment for the last five months. I am very satisfied as I have good and steady results and have not noticed any serious side effects. I feel safe and well treated. the dose I am taking has been steady for the last 4 months now. my platelet count varies from 50- 180.000. Thje only thing that wotties me is that the doctor cannot give me a plan as to how long I will be taking this medicine. I have not had a splenectomy.

Hi. Just want to share my experience. I took Candex as indicated for about 2 weeks. I experienced pretty severe diarrhea the entire time. I work at home. I would not have been able to do this if I was not able to be flexible with my time. It got to a point where I had to stop anyway because of the frequency and severity. I am blessed to find a medication that will control my colitis but do have issues with a few side effects. I have a real down time about 4-5 days after my injection. I get very withdrawn and somewhat depressed and to myself.I get very tired and just try to push through but some months are worse than others. I have also noticed my memory and focus seems to be getting worse. Other than that I am really happy with it.I know all medicines have side effects and I can deal with them to have a life.

I tried Seasonique once I started being sexuially active again. The first month I developed a yeast infection, which is normal for me when I begin a new BC,then after 4 weeks I began spotting and breakthrough bleeding and this lasted for 2mths, finally I spoke to my OBGYN(who is a wonderful and amazing doctor) and he suggested that I stop that pack and start a new one(which he provided). I just started pristiq and have taken wellbutrin (450 mg) for a couple of years. I am taking pristiq and Wellbutrin ( 300 mg) now. Have you noticed any weight gain or sexual side effects? I have a very stressful job and have been extremely anxious and depressed. Thanks!
