The initial hair loss was much more than I expected - probably half my hair if I judged by the thickness of my ponytail and lasted longer than expected probably 9 months from the start of my taking it. I didn't notice it too much for the first 4-5 months but I was also taking prednisone then. After I stopped the prednisone about 6 months in with the Imuran the hair loss became pronounced. I will never know what happened to me. But, for years I complained about anxiety and nervousness. But, my Endocrinologist have dismissed my symptoms. Finally, after nine years and learnign about Armour Thyroid, my depression and fatigue are pretty much gone. The anxiety has gotten better. But, I truly believe Synthroid helped to harm my central nervous system somehow.

Very effective at first. It gave me very vivid dreams, and sometimes it seemed like I was dreaming before I was actually asleep. One night, once I started feeling relaxed, I thought I was in a hallway filled with macaroni and cheese. There were times when, as I was falling asleep/just waking up, I couldn't tell if I was asleep or awake--sometimes I thought I was awake, and it turned out I was dreaming and vice versa.

At first I noticed some hair loss, thought it may be stress. After what was causing stress went away I was still losing handfuls of hair. I was trying hair loss shampoo, went to the Dr's who said maybe diabetes; got tested for that, nope. I started getting super depressed, not that hair is everything, but it for sure is a confidence killer to be balding. No history of balding in the family either for men or women.
