My son was diagnosed as Bipolar but was mostly manic and rarely depressed. The doctors started him on Effexor which put him in such a high state of mania that he had to be hospitalized. Yet the doctors kept prescribing this poison. They counteracted it with Seroquel which made him sleep, and Lithium which made him shake so badly he could barely hold onto anything. The problem is that, the food is highly selective. I have to constantly choose what to eat, and what not too. This is seriously annoying, because carbohydrates are almost everywhere. When my blood sugar is too low, I take some malt or any sweet drink to balance it. When it is too high, it has side effects too, such as loss of your mind, fever, hallucinations, etc.

Yaz was great for the first three months, then all of a sudden i became a horrible person to everyone around me. I started to have mood swings and severe pain everywhere and the pill actually lowered my potassium level instead of making it higher as advertised. i am finally switching to something else after numerous blood tests trying to find out what was wrong with me. it happens to be that Yaz was making me fall apart. i hate it!
