after reading several difffernt sites about the side effects of femcon, i think i have an explanation for my extreme nausea, sudden blurred vison, joint pain, ridiculous weight gain and digestion problems. however, i just saw my obgyn last week, told her of these issues and no connection (except the weight) was made to femcon. also, i am a runner and since starting on the femcon i have had an acute problem with joint pain and fatigue durring my runs, thus causing me to run at a slower pace... It greatly relieved the itching I would get from my skin rubbing on certain surfaces or materials that would use it. However, I try not to "overuse" it on one spot as I feel it changes the color of the skin.

Ortho-tricyclen has prevented pregnancy. However, part of the reason I started taking it was to clear up acne and regulate my menstrual cycle. I still have mild acne, and I still have slightly irregular periods.

FYI Ladies - I have been treated for massive blood clots throughout my body because of Seasonique. The doc told me after 3 months I could go back to the gym - well went twice and developed lesions. I go to my son's FB game and within 30 min have 2nd degree burns. I am now on 2 inhalers because my pulmonary embolisms in the heat and humidity of summer make it virtually impossible to catch my breath. Seasonique isn't worth the risk.
