You need to report the muscle pain, you could get permanent muscle damage with cholesterol meds, I myself would not take it if you have muscle pain, this could indicate that it maybe is starting to damage your muscles and joints. I have tried five different statin drugs like baycol, zorcor and crestor....etc and they make me hurt all over, just got niaspan last night and didn't sleep and woke up lightheaded and had heart palpatations, probably won't take this either!!!! Beofre starting on qualaquin, I used to use Nivaquin which was very effective, but I think that at a certain point my body started eveloping resistance to the drug. So this is why I started with qualaquin, whose effects are noticeable from day 5 of the treatment. But it gives me this unecessary bitter taste in the mouth, so I have to take a tablespoon of honey after.It also has so many other side effects like generalized lethargy, appetite loss, etc. But I learned to deal with that.

I have not had any medical tests or feedback since cmmencement. I feel the dosage is too high and have cut it to one tablet every second day and I feel much better. i have added 2000 of omega 3 or one pill at noon and one in the evening. I should learn if this produces lower colestrol after mynext medical chck up.

Been on it 4 days. Black stools, severe heart palpitations and dizziness. Can't sleep. Have read up on side effects on internet. All of these are possible and then some. No muscle/tendon problems, though. Will contact physician on Monday to discontinue this med.
