I am a 42 year old woman who suffers with heavy periods and have done for most of my life! I recently started taking Norethisterone to help with my periods, which has helped. I suffer with anemia due to heavy periods, so regularly take Ferrous Sulphate, however this upsets my stomach and makes me feel ill, so I try and take the liquid form which combines Vit C with the Iron. This is the worst medicine I've ever taken. I was in more pain than before after taking the medicine, and maybe got 3 hours sleep and an entire day of not being able to move due to intense abdominal pain. I decided to stop taking the medicine after 3 days.

I was quite distressed that I had to come off Celebrex. I experienced an ulcer and upper GI bleeding. Previously, I was taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen for arthritis but the Ibuprofen was hideous and I also experienced an ulcer. Celebrex was the last NSAID in the arsenal for treatment of my arthritis. My knees and back are far worse and I have limited mobility and a higher level of pain now.

I have rosacea and had been taking oral antibiotic, minocin 50 mg 2-3X per week since 1998; I felt like I was developing a tolerance and might have to increase dosage; instead I went off the minocin, and when my face started to blossom, I took Zyflamend, one capsule per day with food and have been doing so for 3 weeks now. I'm usually satisfied with Microgestin, but lately it's been inconsistent with relieving my pain and heaviness of flow. I also had irregular bleeding 2 weeks before my normal period. I'm unsure if this is normal or a problem with Microgestin, but it will be discussed with my doctor.
