It is common to experience some stinging or burning when you place the drops in the eyes. However, I hope the burning didn't continue afterward. If the burning doesn't subside after a short period of time, you should seek medical attention to ensure you aren't allergic to any of the ingredients or experiencing some adverse effect. The first few days I took Trileptal I felt "drunk" but that vanished within the first week. Cognitive side effects such as severely not being able to remember words and short term memory loss were severe the first few months, but tapered off so that after the first 6 months I wasn't and am still not sure if it's the Trileptal or getting older (45) that's causing the now mild effects.

How can I tell of I have side effects from Tobrex or just experiencing an eye allergy? Since I started using the generic version,tobramycin ophthalmic, I have developed some itching in my eye, but I also work in a congested shop floor with a lot of allergens and toxins, so I wasn't sure if these are drug side effects or not. The drug warning label is of little help.
