Tums has been an effective antacid for me. I've used it for years. I don't like the texture/taste but you get used to it.

Carbimazole

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... I do not recommend ProAir HFA because I was unable to experience clear breathing with this drug.

I have palpations --was on a beta blocker toprol xl for 6years had meny problems on it.. put on verapamil 260mg did ok for a while, but get winded out of breath doing anything! my vision is blurred and eyes dry at night ? allergic or what ? doctor doesnt know? im tired all the time got no get up and go anymore - depressed alot ! just feel bad, not normal anymore - forgot what that is ? noticed hair thinning everywhere and some return of palps while on this medication - though now they ar...
