I developed Menier's in my early sixties. It took a while to control so that my specialist put me on increasing amounts of Betahistine. At six to eight a day it was mostly controlled although I had break- out episodes that put me in hospital overnight. I was also prescribed medication to control fluid , in my head, I guess. Worked well for me. It really does take my allergies away very fast. Even though it makes me sleepy, it helpes me feel much better. Only problem I've ever had is that it makes me sleepy and I have weird dreams that feel very real.

A year ago I started to notice painful bumps under my left armpit. I had gone to several doctors and they had given me a different antibiotic than Doxycycline. It had been a reoccurring problem for me so I just recently visited the dermatologists where he did tests and found it to be a MRSA infection. I just recently started using Claritin for my allergies. I didnt really notice a profound effect on my spring allergies, but I did feel slightly better. Still, i did not feel significantly better after taking the drug.

I was not happy with this medication. I did not take it for birth control, but for other medical reasons as prescribed by my doctor. I was depressed, moody, and overall felt physically worse.
