THE BEST PILL EVER, IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE COMPLETELY FOR THE BETTER. I AM FREE TO BE NORMAL. WITH OUT MOOD SWINGS, HARSH CRAMPING, IRRITABLE, CONSTANT WEIGHT GAIN FROM BLOATING AND MONTHLY FOOD AND ALCOHOL CRAVINGS. ALL GONE HAVE LOST 15 POUNDS. IN THE BEST HEALTH IF MY LIFE. I started Loestrin 24 in May of 2010. In July I started having lower abdominal pain followed by upper right abdominal pain. After doing some research I found others had experienced gallbladder spasms. My doctor indicated that I was experiencing gallbladder spasms. I am very healthy and ended up having my appendix removed with no indication of infection b/c of the pain. Since discontinuing my medication three days ago, the symptoms are still there but have improved immensely.

It worked very well. I was having bad ear aches and congestion. I started taking it after my doctor told me to try it. I had tried many different medications before it and it was the only one that made me feel better. The only problem I have with it is that it is very harsh on the stomach. It gave me really strong stomach aches and cramps.

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... this is the worst drug I have taken and fought with Dr regarding it he does not belive on all the side effects listed with it or how it has effected. They say to report them right away and severe apperntly he does not know the drug.....
