My grandfather has taken Niaspan for a little over 2 years, he started within the last month with more moderate waking up at night a flushing. It's a horrible drug that is ineffective for pain. The doctors in my area prescribe it regularly as their drug of choice for pain. They refuse to give their patients anything better. It's awful.
