I have been on Mirena since November of 2009 and I have never been so disappointed in my life. The pill was effective as a contraceptive, but I did not have a good experience with the side effects of the medication despite this being a "low dose" bcp. However, that being said, everyone has a different experience with different medications especially with the bcp because of people's different reactions to the hormones. I experienced headaches, fatigue, moodiness, and a considerable increase in breast size.

Works well. The only side effect is that my appetite has increased considerably. I have become obsessed with food since starting on Crestor. I am left with the choice of either increasing daily exercise (which I already do considerably jogging 4 miles a day) or accepting the discomfort as I ignore my frequent hunger pangs. If I give in to my appetite my weight increases in spite of jogging 28 miles a week.

This product makes me nausious , fatigue is serious. I feel horrible after taking it. Doctors will not consider an side affects from this product and will not even consider changing it. I feel like I have the flu all the time. Which is difficult as I have fibromyalgia. Another illness which doctors will not recognize.
