Works well. The only side effect is that my appetite has increased considerably. I have become obsessed with food since starting on Crestor. I am left with the choice of either increasing daily exercise (which I already do considerably jogging 4 miles a day) or accepting the discomfort as I ignore my frequent hunger pangs. If I give in to my appetite my weight increases in spite of jogging 28 miles a week.

Whilst taking this drug has got my thyroid levels back to normal and has sorted out those problems, I am constantly batling cold/flu viruses that my GP and consultant do not take seriously. Thankfully new GP has ordered a batch of blood tests to check I'm not one of the unlucky ones who have their white cells wiped out! Honestly, I think this medication works for me. My BP shifts sometimes from 190 - 99 , and for the weight loss I manage it by by myself: exercise, diet, etc. SInce 4 years I have been using it, and I did not feel any side effects, but improvement in my blood sugar level.. Nevertheless, the hardest part of everything, is what to eat. I know what I have to eat, but in low quantities. Everything has sugar or carbohydrates, and it is very difficult. But I try, really hard.,
