The initial hair loss was much more than I expected - probably half my hair if I judged by the thickness of my ponytail and lasted longer than expected probably 9 months from the start of my taking it. I didn't notice it too much for the first 4-5 months but I was also taking prednisone then. After I stopped the prednisone about 6 months in with the Imuran the hair loss became pronounced. I have been pleased with the results - Dr. prescribed Valtrex to "shorten" any outbreaks, but so far, have not had any outbreaks. I had been taking 1 gm pill for about two months, then lessened the dosage to .5 gm.

Since starting this using Carbimazole I have noticed a reduction in my heart racing and hands shaking but I have had constant throat infections from about 6 weeks including 2 chest infections, pleurisy, laryngitis and now tonsillitis and a swollen eye, all with a high temperature and headache. With the exception of a few day in between each episode when I have felt well. I think I will stop taking this product.
