Advil is a great OTC medication for minor pains. I've used it for headaches, toothaches, and menstrual cramps and it has been effective for all of them. I've never experienced negative consequences either.

I should have read up on all the potential side effects but I was unsure which medicine I would get due to my insurance. I'm taking Quasense because I have servere PMS for 3 wks including during my cycle, so bad I can barely function due to the emotional/anxiety/fatigue issues so my doctor thought this would help so at least I only get the symptons every few months. I am 36 year old female and was diagnosed hyperthyroidism 10 months after having a baby.
