I had taken Marax in the mid 70s and as a 16 year old "in charge" of her medication, I probably took more than prescribed and suffered severe anxiety attacks. Sometimes so debilitating, I wanted to jump out of my skin. Then I would crash and thought I was going to die. I wouldn't recommend Lutera to anyone. I switched from Tri-Regol to Lutera and the side effects came unexpectedly! My vision was even affected, I gained weight and I was extremely moody. All the "typical" side effect but I prefer my birth control to have no side effects!

Plan B is a great emergency contraceptive. It is accessible and relatively effective. However, it is pricey at 50 bucks and caused some hormonal imbalances that affected me emotionally as well as causing irregularity in my menstrual cycle.

Pristiq is a terrible drug. It made me feel like I was on an upper. I had more anxiety with it than without it. DO NOT stop this drug cold turkey. LIke with Effexor, you will have terrible discontinuation effects, including brain zaps.

I have been on this medication since March 2010. I am now on 125 mcg and feel fantastic. This drug has really helped me to lose weight, my beautiful thick hair to come back and I am no longer tired when waking and feel like I have slept.

My thyroid shut down 15 years ago, but after treatment with Levoxyl it started working again and has TSH, free T3, T4 levels have fluctuated ever since (though that was not recognized as normal 15 years ago). It supplies needed thyroid hormone, but does not address autoimmune problem that started it.
