Micardis HCT

Severe hypertension from childhood. Medicated since 1963. Anaphalactic shock due to medication in 1996 resulted in medication change to Micardis HCT. Five years ago, dosage reduced by half due to excellent control. Now 77 years old, very healthy, active, walk 4 miles per day in 70 minutes. Least amount of side effects of any medication I have taken in 47 years.

I am losing faith in this and I take 300mg wellbutrin with it and do not feel enough relief-also-I was put on this generic for almost 3 weeks until I realized why I felt no improvement-called and got started on the brand, along with 300mg wellbutrin-I had just gone-or was trying to recover from a sudden withdrawal from Cymbalta-I was told I could drop the cymbalta and get on something else,Paxil, which I never started because of severe problems,physical and emotional from this happening under... I've noticed a lot of leg cramps, but I don't know if it's related. My sleep can be more erratic, but it never was perfect. My breathing is much better and being active is much easier. I was active before but it made me out of breath a lot. Overall it's a good thing but does seem to lower sex druve ime.

Carbimazole

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... I liked how yaz made me regular with my period but I would get harmful side effects. I would get depressed and cry for about a week for no reason.
