I love the pill, but it does make me feel a little crazy. It has a weird effect on my emotional stability and it sometimes causes me to get angry or upset for no reason.

I've been taking Agomelatine for around 4 months now (50mg per day) in a UK based clinical trial. I had taken paroxetine for 12 months immediately prior to this so feel I can make a good comparison between the two. So far so good. It is a very easy drug to take. Doesnt cause any nausea/vomiting for me. I like the fact that I have to take it well before eating anything for the day and that I have to take it with a lot of water. This helps me take in a lot of water in the beginning of the day. I dislike that I have to take this for the rest of my life or else my symptoms would come back. The first time I took it, I had no problems and, along with an anti-candida diet, my rashes cleared up. When family came for vacation, I relaxed on my diet and had wine and dessert, etc. The rashes came back quickly with splitting skin, itching, etc. After the family left, I started the Candex again (although I didn't wait the recommended time between taking the 2 capsules and food. I was taking it for a few years and I recently stopped taking the medication bc the acid reflux was getting a lot better. Then last week I realized it was coming back again so I just started the medicaiton back up again. Other than that I am very satisfied with the performance of the medication.

I think that my body is building a tolerance to it because it takes more pills to work. I like it because it puts me to sleep but the last time I had a headache I had to take 3 within 2 hours to get to sleep.
