I developed Menier's in my early sixties. It took a while to control so that my specialist put me on increasing amounts of Betahistine. At six to eight a day it was mostly controlled although I had break- out episodes that put me in hospital overnight. I was also prescribed medication to control fluid , in my head, I guess. Although it has helped my allergies a lot the only problem I have is that it doesn't last for 24 hours like it says it will. 12 hours is the max sometimes even sooner. It is gradually getting better though.

Stage 4 RCC Left kidney removed in Oct 2008. Metastasized to stomach cavity 2010. Treated with Sutent since early June 2010. Side effects unusual but not out of the ordinary based on info Ive read. As of today It seems to be helping but probably to soon to tell for sure. I feel fairly well and have been working right along so thats a positive. Attitude is good as well as support from those around me.

Well of course I stopped taking it, it almost killed me, if I wasn't actually dead for short periods. I was in total paralysis, having hallucinations that the walls were aglow with fire, and thinking that the toxic fumes from the (Non-existant) fire were keeping me from being able to move.Thinking that if I could only force myself to move I might snap out of it and escape, but I couldn't.Then the voices started, telling me I was already dead and why should I fight it anymore?Horrible, lasting...
