I have been on synthroid for a little over a year and it has done little to benefit me. My condition has worsened making my skin even more sensative as well as my eye site and countless other things. I do not recommend this to other patients- there are more side effects than beneficial effects of the drug.

Please don't start Agomelatine with these side-effects in your mind. Wait and see what it does for you. everybody reacts different and it could be the right one for you! I think, if you you have psychosomatic problems that you can definetely "talk" yourself also into not having a benefit from A., because you read a lot of stuff you didn't like to hear and now you fear you might react the same. Over a year ago (9/2008) I fell very badly on concrete, with my left leg bent underneath me. After various doctor visits and therapy sessions, which did no good, I decided to do what a friend told me to do for months...TRY ZYFLAMEND! Started taking Topamax on vacation to gradually get up to full dose. Went very slowly--got to full dosage at about 4 weeks. I lost weight, but tried to stick with it because the migraines were so bad, but it only reduced them a little bit. At around the 4-5 week mark I was sitting in my living room feeling semi-suicidal and decided I should read the fine print on the side effects. Provided the best sleep and maximum relief from pain, however, was accompanied by nausea (but then again I can't handle any pain killers when it comes to the nausea factor).
