This was the last treatment prescribed after calcium blockers swelled my lower extremities and had ghout after my other treatments. . I felt better with bendroflurazide but after gout which I had been prone to (my first attack at 18 after a glass of port!) My GP would not prescribe again for me. But my blood pressure was down to 135 with benfdrofuazide. Which I would prefer to go back to and put up with the severe pain of GOUT!! I take this medicine simultaneously with Omeprazole Dr and they both give me strong side effects. I was diagnosed with H. Pylori a few months back and it turns out after an endoscopy and biopsy, that it still exists. I asked my doctor to prescribe something else but they informed me that any medicine dealing with H. Pylori is going to have strong side effects.
