I have fibromyalgia and was very hopeful while taking this medicaiton but to tell you the truth my life was a living hell. I found myself in a deep dark place I had never been before, I think if it wasn't for my faith I don't know what this medication would have caused me to do. I have taken this med for nearly 2 years now. It made me a little emotional (ok, crazy) the first month, and gave me cramps at first but after the first pack it all went away. I do occasionally get yeast infections but a couple of days taking probiotics will cure that. I recomend the probiotic Acidophilus, you can get it anywhere and it works great on yeast infections. It is a little expensive but its worth it to me to not have a period every month.

I find the withdrawal symptoms quite severe; a few years ago my doctor wanted to start me on something else but wanted to get me off Effexor first; within 2 days my sleep patterns were very disrupted with vivid dreams and restlessness, by the 4th day my body was shaking - almost spasmodic. I went back on the Effexor, but find that even one missed or delayed dose causes a hightened dream state, my mind starts to race and I don't sleep well at all. I fear going off it, but hate the dependency.

Although I had allergic reaction with each infusion, the side effects from the Taxol got better after 7-10 days. I didn't have nausea at all (actually had a very good appetite) except my stomach was queasy for about 7 days after 4th infusion. I had an odd taste in my mouth with excess saliva for a several days after infusions. Very tired but that too improves after 7-10 days. Leg pain for 2-4 days afterward - relieved by taking hydrocodone. It has been 11 days since 4th infusion and still... View full comment
