I started on 5 grams two weeks ago and I could tell it was working. However, late in the day I could feel it wearing off. When I would take the 5 grams in the morning it helped with my libido and firmness but by the next morning it would wear off. My doctor increased the dose to 10 grams a day and I just started that. Since starting on this drug last year, my "attacks" have reduced tremendously and I'm able to work with confidence now. However, my biggest problem with Betahistine is that I have been experiencing severe muscle cramps recently which at times can be very painful. I have also lost some weight and I try to eat more to compensate! Is their any way one can ensure that he/she maintains her/his weight when on this drug? My sexual appetite has also gone down. Any comments?

Taken by a 16yo Lennox Gastaut patient. Seemed to increase partial seizures. Had 2 status seizures while on this med and began having Atonic seizures which she had not had in several years. Was very out of it and hardly sleeps. weaning this med now.

I have had a good experience with Claritin-D 12 hour. There are some mornings that I wake up and can barely open my eyes, because they are so swollen from allergies. I can't even function on days like that with out clarintin-D. I will have a runny nose, watery eyes, puffy eyes, and will be constantly sneezing until I take a claritin-D 12 hour, and I feel 10 times better. My periods/cramps have been better since taking Yaz. Although, I have experienced some mild depression than when I wasn't on it and a few mood changes. I have had one irregular period and I have never missed a pill since taking Yaz. I am going to my gynocologist in the next couple months for a check up with Yaz. My Doctor prescribed this for me because he thought I was getting endometriosis.
