It was very helpful in stopping the inflammation of my hives. I had to take it for almost a week but it was effective as soon as I was finished with the prescription. My hives were completely gone by the end of the week. The only problem I had with Prednisone was the after taste. It made me dread taking the medicine.

It makes me feel better emotionally. I only have a slight increase in depression and some impatience. It makes me constipated. I sometimes have trouble going to sleep and staying asleep. I also sometimes have headaches. But overall it works O.K.

After having my first child I switched from the pills to mirena and for 17weeks I experienced spotting. From then on I experienced terrible acne and horrible periods. I was very dissatisfied with the Mirena. From all the other opinions I encounted I must have been the exception because I am happier with paragaurd.

I take 2g per day for pseudotumor cerebri, so I know that is a lot. Diamox has helped my high pressure headaches and helped keep most of the PTC symptoms at bay, however, it does have some issues of its own. Before I began taking a potassium supplement, my energy level was greatly decreased, my blood pressure was EXTREMELY low (about 86/50) on a regular basis and I would experience leg cramps as well as stabbing pains in both my feet and my hands. After reading all of these reviews I feel much better knowing I'm not the only one experiencing these side effects. I've also noticed that ny legs have been itchy.... It's been like 3 days since I've been getting minor cramps as if I was going to get my period... But its 2 weeks away... And this is my second pack by the way... And first bc pills I've ever tried. And I'm not sexually active.. I'm on the pill for severe cramps.
