My doctor recently switched me from pravastatin to simvastatin, since - despite weight loss and adding regular exercise and fish oil - my total cholesterol levels began to rise again. One supplement you should always take if you are on any of the statin drugs is Coenzyme Q10, as statins can deplete this nutrient from your body and cause muscle damage and worse. Would prefer natural medication but Dr. said Olmetec Plus is good. Ankles painful at tendons on heel and above. Urine is clear white. Kidney function down. He is watching that now. Taken this for 1 year so far and blood pressure came down right away and is good. I am watchful about side effects that Drs. don't tell or know about. This kidney stuff bothers me. I loved Seasonique, until the 3rd month came alone... My period is 3 weeks early, I have horrible cramps, bad blood clots and parts of my uterus lining is coming out much more than usual. I used to be on Yasmin and went to Ocella (the generic version of Yasmin) which made me feel ill, which hasn't happened with Seasonique, but I am not sure the cramps are worth it.
