I have been taking zoloft for 4 months and started off with 25mg then increased to 50mg and now I am on 100mg. I can definately feel a difference with anxiety and feel more outgoing. I took another medication which made me have hallucinations for 5 days. I then had to seek a phychiarist who put me on the zoloft. Started out with 50mg 2x daily for a week, with no improvement. 2nd week took 75mg 2x daily with some good improvement in numbness/tingling. Third wee took 100mg 2xdaily and was so dizzy, could not walk in straight line. Had to hold on to the wall to walk. Only took 3 doses and had to stop. Went back to 50mg till I can get off it. Ataivan works better but does cause some drowziness.

Drug was helpful in the short-term (6 months); decided to quit with a quick 6-week taper 3 years ago because of weight gain, loss of motivation for virtually any activity, and overwhelming feeling of physical malaise; experienced truly horrific withdrawal symptoms (see www.paxilprogress.org for others' experiences) had to go back on drug; have now completed 1st year in what will be a 2-year taper off this drug. Stay far away from this drug; there are much better options out there for you.
