I developed a skin rash that I went to my Dr about they did not think it was from the medication. It was round patches all over my chest and stomach and a couple around my eyes. That cleared up over time. Now my hair has been falling out for several months. I commonly have a "malting" time, so was not concerned at first, but it is rally noticeable now. I started to take this for a condition called folliculitis, after a couple of days I had chronic heartburn, I stopped taking after 5 days of a 7 day course, because I was getting cramps, I took the last tablet yesterday morning and I am now doubled up with nausea and cramp, anyone got any remedies? :(

I went off this drug this morning and am looking forward to not bleeding for a month straight at a time (I think of the 3 ½ months i've been on it, i've bled for 2 ½ - 3 months). I certainly won't miss severe mood swings (or crying jags). I have't gained weight - but i've had a tough time loosing it. I wonder how long it will take for my system to get back to "normal".

Honestly, I think this medication works for me. My BP shifts sometimes from 190 - 99 , and for the weight loss I manage it by by myself: exercise, diet, etc. SInce 4 years I have been using it, and I did not feel any side effects, but improvement in my blood sugar level.. Nevertheless, the hardest part of everything, is what to eat. I know what I have to eat, but in low quantities. Everything has sugar or carbohydrates, and it is very difficult. But I try, really hard.,

I have developed cystocele (mild) and sometimes notice the ring, but before that never noticed anything. Positive effect on blood pressure which was too high on the pill. I need my computer calendar to inform me when to take it out though, as I do sometimes forget. All the positive effects of birth control- less acne, hair and skin less oily, smaller, predictable periods and light to no cramps. I experienced a change in breast size though, over the pill.

Glad I read your comment. I go for my first (3 month) cholesterol blood test to see if the Lipitor is working. I think I'll ask my Dr. to ask for a glucose test also, just to be on the safe side. Thanks!
