My doctor recently switched me from pravastatin to simvastatin, since - despite weight loss and adding regular exercise and fish oil - my total cholesterol levels began to rise again. I take Klor-Con in combination with other medications to control hypertension. I really do not know which, if any, of my medications are responsible for the aches/pains/bone joint weakness. However, they together control my high blood pressure, so I endure the slight discomfort. Medrol has been the one prescription that seems to help right away. The up side to this drug is it takes away the pain the inflammation makes and gives me energy. The down side is the potential side effects can be very bad.
