I don't normally take DayQuil but the one time I used it or a cold it lessened my coughing frequency. It took about a week for it to go away and I still woke up with a sore throat on most mornings.

My doctor recently switched me from pravastatin to simvastatin, since - despite weight loss and adding regular exercise and fish oil - my total cholesterol levels began to rise again. I am on day 11 of 14 days and feel sick most of the time. If it gets rid of the rather resistant infection I suppose its worth it but I do feel depressed, probably because it's not a lot of fun to feel sick.

I have diabetes, treated with oral and insulin. Also treated for high trigycerides, high cholesterol, and bp.
