Ibuprofen works when I need minor pain relief, although I cannot say whether or not it works because of the actual drug in the pills or as a result of the placebo effect. Either way, it makes me feel better and they're non-addictive (to me at least), so I will stand by my Ibuprofen

I was given oxybuprocaine to numb my eyes at an opthamology eye exam, after receiving the drops I started to have convulsions. My head was completely bent back, my eyes were rolling in the back of my head and I was grinding my teeth. The convulsions lasted for hours on the day of the eye exam and returned sporadically the next day. The doctor told me take aspirin once a day to help thin my blood. So besides the fact that it relieves headaches and pain, I have no side effects from this medication, and I dont know how effective it is because it thins my blood so I dont know much effect it has done.

One month after quitting smoking I suffered a fairly severe asthma attack and 3 episodes of migraine aura around 11 am daily (always had allergic rhinitis ,classic migraine which for the past 20 years or so no longer includes headache, just aura, and various food additive allergies), followed by a mild stroke causing temporary paresis of right leg from knee to foot.
