I was forced to take this drug for a colonoscopy after I vehemently told the Dr that I didn't want it and to use a painkiller and not an amnesiac. He told me he knew best and just used Versed. I have IBS, I was wide awake in excrutiating pain, tears were running down my face and I tried to scream that I felt like a weedwhacker was turned on inside of me, but I was totally paralized!!! Smaller dosage with the option to self medicate every second or third day provides a rythm I can cope with and live with and the benefits are great for me. I don't get the personality change I did when I tried other anti depressent and drugs for the fibromyalgia and feel much more balanced. This has lead me to go back to school full time! and plan for a good career I can choose my own hours with good pay and benefits.

My doctor recently switched me from pravastatin to simvastatin, since - despite weight loss and adding regular exercise and fish oil - my total cholesterol levels began to rise again. One supplement you should always take if you are on any of the statin drugs is Coenzyme Q10, as statins can deplete this nutrient from your body and cause muscle damage and worse. I think I'm allergic to codeine. It makes me nauseous. I guess it works for pain, but the side effects outweigh the benefits
