The initial hair loss was much more than I expected - probably half my hair if I judged by the thickness of my ponytail and lasted longer than expected probably 9 months from the start of my taking it. I didn't notice it too much for the first 4-5 months but I was also taking prednisone then. After I stopped the prednisone about 6 months in with the Imuran the hair loss became pronounced. I stoped taking it after two years as i realized it was destroying my eyesight, liver and kidneys....I went to ayurvedic treatment and never looked back!! that was 8 years ago. The doctors wanted me to carry on for another 8 years. I refused.

I was never prescribed this drug, but my boyfriend was. I took it occasionally while writing my thesis. I call them "focus pills", since the effect of one will allow me to focus on my studies for 8-10 hours without taking a break. The mind is really clear while experiencing the effect of this drug, but the feeling is addictive. I almost got hooked on them, which is particularly dangerous if you don't have a prescription.

When first using Atralin, my skin became very dry and began to peal. A moisturizer is needed when using this product. After a couple of weeks the dryness of my skin decreased, but the sensitivity remained. For Atralin to work properly, one must keep a regular schedule of application of this product. It is a product that makes things worse before it gets better.
