I've been taking Agomelatine for around 4 months now (50mg per day) in a UK based clinical trial. I had taken paroxetine for 12 months immediately prior to this so feel I can make a good comparison between the two. Firstly with Agomelatine i've not noticed any side effects whatsoever, its almost as if you arent taking medication at all, although in saying that it's not been very effective in reducing my depression and anxiety either, although it does help me sleep easier. With paroxetine I... View full comment

The doctor never asked about some of the severe side affects so I didn't link them together until I read an article. I stopped taking statin drugs for about a year and just recently restarted with Lipitor, thinking that it may not have the same side affects as other statins - but the side affects came back in force after o... I have ADD and have been taking Adderall and Adderall XR for over 10 years. I have had weird heart beats and when I work out I sometimes feel like my heart rate is way too high for the level activity that I'm doing. I feel like it's probably not a huge deal if you're planning on taking it temporarily but I do not recommend long term use. It's very effective but the heart risks that come with it are not worth it. You don't need a drug to make you do your every day activities, maybe every once... View full comment
