My daughter began taking Ortho-cept in August of 2009. It was the only prescription drug or any other , besides an occasional headache medicine she took. On September 11, 2009, she became light-headed at her college dorm and passed out. She came to and went again to get her roomate from another room and passed out a second time upon arriving there after only being there a few minutes. Beofre starting on qualaquin, I used to use Nivaquin which was very effective, but I think that at a certain point my body started eveloping resistance to the drug. So this is why I started with qualaquin, whose effects are noticeable from day 5 of the treatment. But it gives me this unecessary bitter taste in the mouth, so I have to take a tablespoon of honey after.It also has so many other side effects like generalized lethargy, appetite loss, etc. But I learned to deal with that.

I have occasional asthma (usually activity or allergy induced) and I used to use Albuterol before it was reformuated. The ProAir HFA is not as effective and does not come out of the dispenser very well. While it does help a bit with my asthma attacks the side effects are unpleasant and I avoid using the inhaler unless I completely have to. The side effects only last about 45 mins but they are still unpleasant.

I have had major acne breakouts while on Levora. I have also gained about 10 pounds while I have been on it. I switched from Microgestin 30 because that made me constipated and moody but I plan on switching again soon to another pill.
