First time i have tried mucinex, usually fight off broncititus atleast twice a year, yes each major weather change spring and fall. Usually takes me 3 weeks to finally get back in gear each time. Tried mucinex this time took the extended release type 600 twice a day, it worked BUT I do have a warning to pass along. I developed Menier's in my early sixties. It took a while to control so that my specialist put me on increasing amounts of Betahistine. I had Graves Disease about 8 years ago,took docs a year to sort it out, had all the heart meds too. Then it was sorted out. Since then i have had Hyperthroidism about three times since - it just wont go away. Back on Carbims again. On 5 mg three times a day now have been retested and its hardly reduced it so have to up the dose to 4 tabs daily - doc said two am,two pm.
