I was on TriNessa since I needed a generic for my insurance. I had no major emotional issues or weight gain. I think it did clear up my face--although I have never had a huge acne problem--only occasional breakout--which I had zero on this med. The problem for me was the breakthrough bleeding. First few months just some occasional spotting--I thought I was just getting used to it--but by month 5--I was bleeding for over 2 weeks straight--not really heavy--but enough to have to wear a pantylin... Within about w two hours, I had all the diigestion-related symptoms of the flu (even though I do not and did not have the flu). Without getting too graphic, let me just say that my system emptied itself completely via both ends within about 1 half-hour.
