I took Candex for three days, one capsule in the morning with a very large glass of water. I am very sensitive to all kinds of medicine, so I was prepared for the worst. The only thing that seems related in time to the Candex doses was the veins in my hands and fingers dilating (getting really big), making my hands ache and my fingers and palms itch. I liked to use the Zicam q-tips, but stopped when i heard they cause a loss of sense of smell. However, I still take the lozenges and think they work well, even if they don't taste very good.

I switched to Darvocet after my Hydrocodine left me feeling too sick for the amount of pain relief I received. The Darvocet worked much better, but since I have a high tolerance to pain medication, a high dosage still was not very effective
