I took the pill for four months my period was irregular and it didn't help with anything except keeping me from getting pregnant. I started t have pain in my chest and found out I had blood clots in my lungs and neck. I am young healthy i don't smoke rarely ever drink watch my weight, even my doctor was surprised to find that sever of blood clots. Now i can no longer take anything with estrogen.

July 2009 was when I noticed that my menstral cycle was freaking out and there was no more 28 days in between. I was lucky to get 18 days. Also, they were lasting longer - instead of 5-7 days, they were 7-10 days and heavy cramping, bleeding, and pain. Now - I am 40 years old. Update. The worry over Lantus is over for me. I tried Levemir for a couple of months, before switching back to Lantus as it made no difference to the pain. Then I had a diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) a few weeks ago. This was after several visits to my doctor and a rheumatologist, blood tests and a radiological bone scan. I'm now on a lowish dose of prednisolone (10mg/day), with calcium (800mg/day) and alendronic acid (70mg once per week) to protect my bones from the steroid. Most... View full comment

When this medication was administered through IV I felt as if it worked better, I felt such a great relief but then as I took it sublingual it had a bad after taste and it relieved my nausea but I guess i was expecting the same effect as through IV, but it did help the nausea a lot, and I could sleep better and actually be around food. Great medication besides the bad after taste.
