This drug was horrible for me. I have never felt sicker than when I was on it. The withdrawals were worse than opiate withdrawal. I was totally ill for two weeks-I couldn't stand or sit up without throwing up. I had "brain zaps," couldn't eat or sleep.

I'm no longer taking Lipitor, thank God. After a year of testing and doctor visits it was discovered that I was having side effects from Lipitor. I had been complaining of muscle ache and weakness, shortness of breath, fatigue, blurry vision and tremors for a year, but no one would listen. It took a pulmonary hypertension doctor to take a test that revealed the results. It's been 3 years now since I stopped Lipitor. I take 1000 mg of CoQ10 and 1500 mg of L-Carnatine. Starting on day 1, had bad metallic taste in mouth, nausea, and chest discomfort-indigestion all day long. Started taking probiotic on day 3, also began taking pills with a half-glass of milk instead of water, and sipping on gingerale/ nibbling saltine crackers during the day - symptoms much milder now except the metallic taste is still strong. Am just finishing day 5.

I was prescribed Skelaxin after I was involved in a motor vehicle accident. It takes a good hour to 2 hours to really start working. I still felt some moderate back pain when taking the drug, but overall it helped me get around and do simple movements.
