I took it for 28 days as a substitute for potassium, I lost one pound per day, it caused me nausea, and pain. I became more light sensitive. It caused me to have pancreatis. Also, it caused my stomach to tie up in knot.

Took melatonin 300 mg for 4 nights. Excellent sleep first 2 nights; Unremarkable sleep 3rd night; vivid dreams and "drugged" feeling 4th night. Strange body odor and taste in mouth. 5th day, strange stomach distention (very mild gas), slight dizziness, grogginess. I have Hashimoto's so perhaps melatonin is contraindicted for daily use. Will continue to use occasionally for insomnia, but not more than 2 nights a week.

No negative effects at all, only good for treating acne rosecea. Had suffered fom this condition without knowing and seeking medical advice for two years with horrendous breakouts of spots,blisters and patches of inflamed skin. Once started on this drug condition settled really quickly and cleared within six weeks. GP prescribed drug for a few months afterwards to ensure condition had settled. Taking this drug made me very ill, after 5 weeks of taking it with no apparent side effects and being pleased to have given up smoking I suddenly started to find my legs shaky, in the next 6 weeks the side effects increased, I experienced severe panic attacks, constant shaking and muscle spasms, muscle weakness, pain in my joints and heart palpatations, to name only a few.
