If you are in severe pain, I really didn't feel any effects. After surgery and a good bit of pain was removed, I found out that tizanidine is rather powerful. I usually take a small amount, 2mg per day, until my pain rises, then I take as needed up to maximum dose. I know when to drop the dosage when I feel like par-boiled chicken and my muscles feel like they're going to fall off my bones. That is one strange feeling. My Doctor switched me over the Junel from Loestrin last month. I have been on an emotional rollercoaster, sometimes I'm confused and have no control over my thoughts. I'm relieved that I am not the only one. At times I feel like I'm not really here. I have been off of Junel for about a week and am noticing positive differences in my mood. Some days I feel better, other days I feel worse. I'm just waiting for the pill to completely be out of my system so I can be myself again.

Without it on a daily basis, I will develop hives. If I am consistent, hives will not appear. The only draw back is having to see a doctor to refill the prescription as there is not an over the counter drug that emulates it.
