Shortly after starting a short course of this medication I starting having irregular (skipped) heartbeats upon light exertion. It took me two weeks to put two and two together and I have now stopped the medication. I have had irregular heartbeats in the past but they had not bothered me for several years. Also, I have experienced difficulty sleeping including trouble getting to sleep and/or mid night wakefulness. Recently I have experienced diarrhea. This drug does not seem to be worth us... Cipro made my typhoid fever go away quickly, which was a big relief because it was such an uncomfortable illness. Itchiness ensued as I was ending the medication, but that also could have been due to the fact that I had gotten scabies as well - (I was in Indonesia)...

The only thing I have to complain about is the headache/migraine side effects that I experienced when I first began taking it. I'm only nervous about potential long-term side effects that I've read about.
