First 18 months of treatments: smooth sailing. Then the infusion reactions started. They are starting earlier in the infusion and lasting longer after the infusion. It's scary, but we are trying to keep on top of it with anti inflammatory meds.

I was prescribed amitryptiline after a servere breakdown and agitated depression. It was due to stress at work, and my Doctor told me the drug would bring my neurotransmitters together, that the stress had knocked apart. It saved my life, as I was suicidal. Was on Ortho tri Cyclen Lo before my pharmacy and insurance company switched me to this generic brand. I experienced a serious decrease in sex drive, which continues to this day. Besides that, the price is much better, and my menstraul cycles are scheduled to the day and time. I did not notice any significant weight gain or loss from this pill. It's worth trying, but if your libido changes as mine did, seek medical attention as soon as possible.

the medicine worked well in the beginning for about 8 months, during stressful times, this does not work at all. and now that i have been using for about 1 year.. symptoms... hot flashes, irritability, stress, bloating are worse....

Wow this drug got very bad reviews, but I have been on it for about a month and I still want to have just as much sex, or even more. It's hard to tell if I have side effects because I'm travelling and I'm exhausted, but I do a lot every day. But so far I have not experienced anything unbearable or stands out completely from the medicine. Used for pain relief - Atypical facial pain - Having tried Amitripyline and Carbamozole without sucess (limited pain relief and too many side effects) I find I tolerate Dosulepin well and have acheived about 80% relief at a dose of 75mg per day.
