When I first started Ortho-Tri Cyclen (Lo) I was bed-bound with sickness for two days. For the next year I would have morning sickness for the first week of every pill pack each month. After being made hypothyroid due to RAI treatment, I still feel that levothyroxine can do a better job of affecting the emotional and psychological side of treatment, too. At this time I feel that it doesn't work well with all areas of hypothyroidism's effects.

It was effective in preventing pregnancy as well as regulating my periods and lessing the pain of cramps during my period. However, as a healthy 18-20 year old, my sex drive was reduced dramatically to the point that I stopped taking this medication. When I stopped, my sex drive returned.

I have been taking Buspar (Burspirone) (5mg) for 6 weeks. I take 1-1/2 tablets (7mg) twice a day. I immediately noticed a warm feeling when I first started but after a month or so I didn't notice it as much. I have PTSD and anxiety has been a real problem for many years.
