I have been taking Effexor XR in combination with Lexapro for 5 years. Recently deciding to fast and cleanse I stopped taking both meds. Please do not stop abrubtly as I did. Follow the advice of your physician and wean off the meds. I experienced extreme withdrawls including sleeplessness, flash headaches, nausea, extreme sadness and suicidal thoughts.
